WITH GOD IT IS NEVER TOO LATE, THEREFORE BE HOPEFUL

God the creator of times and seasons does things at His own time. He has His own timing and does things at the appropriate time which is always the best time for you and I. The Bible says in  Ecc 3:11, "He has made everything beautiful in its time", and vs 14 says " I know that everything God does will endure for ever". Also in vs 1, "There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heaven."

With Him, it is never late so always be hopeful and never give up. Every believer must anchor his or her hope on the ability of God to do all things. This is because those things you think are impossible are possible with Him. The future is ever bright to those who wear the glasses of faith and hope in Christ.

Let us consider how hope was brought to the following personalties by God:

Abraham and Sarah: Gen 18:9-14
The three visitors asked Abraham, "Where is your wife, Sarah?". Then the Lord said, "I will surely return to you about this time next year and Sarah your wife will have a son". Abraham and Sarah were already old and well advanced in years, and Sarah was past the age of childbearing hence Sarah laughed to herself as she thought "After I am worn out and my Lord is old, will I now have this pleasure?".

From the above, even Sarah thought it was too late for her and Abraham to have a child at age 90 and 100 years respectively but God proved to them that it is never late with Him. Have you lost hope? Do not because it is never late with God. That which you had already given up on shall come to pass in Jesus name. Amen.

Gen 21: 1 says, "Now the Lord was gracious to Sarah as He had promised". When God promises, He never fails. That which He has promised, He will surely do. To show that it is never late with God, even at the age of ninety, the Lord caused barren Sarah to conceive.

Simon Peter: Luke 5:1-6
This fisherman with his friend toiled all night to catch fish without success. Hence Peter gave up and decided to wash up his nets and go home. In verses 4-6, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Launch out into the deep water and let down the nets for a catch. Simon answered, Master, we have worked hard all night and have not caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets."

There was an evidence of frustration by Simon Peter's statement, his thinking must have been, it is too late to be letting down the nets. In contrast, the bible tells us that "when they had let down the nets, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break".

Are you frustrated already with efforts and, or things appear fruitless and unsuccessful? Never give up! Just be hopeful.

Peter had tried so many times all night without a catch but when the time came, only one attempt he made with the backing of the Lord resulted in a bountiful harvest beyond his expectation.

The Lord is able to surprise you. His timing is the best for all agenda, for that project, marriage or breakthrough. Be hopeful and patient, wait on Him and have faith.

Zacchaeus the tax collector:  Luke 19:1-19
He was the chief tax collector and was wealthy but was already condemned and judged a sinner. He had been written off by people around him. Perhaps people had thought he would die a sinner. He sought for Jesus by climbing the Sycamore tree. Jesus saw him and said in verse 5, "Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today". However in verse 7, "All the people saw this and began to mutter, He has gone to be a guest of a sinner".  After his encounter with Jesus through whom salvation was brought to his house, Zacchaeus received the grace to restitute.

Have you been condemned or rejected? God who showed Zacchaeus mercy and grace is alive and will be merciful to you. Do not lose the hope.

The lame man at the pool of Bethesda: John 5:1-9
This man was there for 38 years and had lost hope; he had almost adopted this problem as a way of life. He had no one to help him nor could he help himself into the pool. But on one Sabbath day, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for a feast of the Jews and passed by the pool. He noticed the man and asked for his willingness to get healed. His reply in verse 7, "Sir, I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me. Jesus commanded the man to get up and immediately he did,  he was cured!

If restoration was activated for a man of 38 years of infirmity within one day,  hope is not lost for any sick person. God can restore to perfect health. God can turn every hopelessness to hope. Be hopeful, hope is the anchor of the soul.

Have you tried your hands on certain endeavours and you are not making a head way? Are you awaiting a miracle? Hoping to testify to God's goodness? Don't give up, keep your hopes alive. The Lord who gave hope to Abraham and Sarah by giving them Issac at the ripe old age, the One who healed the lame of 38 years in just one day and turned Simon Peter's efforts into a fruitful one is still alive and there for you. With Him, it is never late. Ecc 9:4 says, "Any one who is among the living has hope".

Brethren, be hopeful. That which you are expecting and the testimony you want to share will surely come.

Prayer: Father, God of hope, as you brought hope to Abraham and Sarah, the lame man and Simon Peter's, bring hope to my situation and let me have breakthrough in all my endeavours in Jesus name I pray. Amen
